I know that struggle all too well, but luckily you have options to work around it. Be on the lookout for A-line and full skirts that cinch at the waist and flow over the hips. There's also a really cool service I love from online retailer Rita & Phill: They use three measurements (waist size, hip size, and height) to custom-create curve-flattering pencil skirts - which are notoriously hard for us hippy ladies to find! They start around $100, so they're a little on the high end, but it's worth the investment for a bespoke skirt you'll want in your closet forever.
